Armagnac Cake

Very easy. Serves 8.

Preheat your oven to 180°C (gas mark 6).

Melt the butter and mix it with the two sugars in a mixing bowl.

Incorporate the eggs one by one, add the flour and baking powder, and finish with the Armagnac (Château Garreau VS or VSOP), stirring well.

Pour the batter into a mold (greased if necessary), and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes (depending on your oven and the mold used), until your Armagnac cake is beautifully golden on top.

  • 4 eggs
  • 450 g of flour
  • 300 g of powdered sugar
  • 200 g of butter
  • 10 cl of Armagnac (Château Garreau Very Special or VSOP)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
